Cement

Did you know that the most commonly used type of cement in the world is Portland cement? This cement is used in both concrete and mortar not to mention other construction mediums such as stucco and some types of grout, where it acts as a binding agent.

Portland cement is a fine powder made up of 66% calcium silicate and the leftover which is mainly aluminum and iron.

In Portland Cement Articles I found out that this cement is water resistant and sets down slowly allowing enough time to be properly laid.

This cement was patented in 1824 and went through some modifications on 1843 which made it popular until today.

If you ever have the need for cement to do some construction this might be the best option available.
